ENG-W vs SA-W 1st ODI Match Prediction & Betting Tips
England Women will take on South Africa Women in the first of three WODIs. The game will be played at The County Ground, Northampton starting at 14:00 local time on Monday July 11th.
England Women play their first WODI fixture since losing the 2022 Women’s World Cup Final to Australia Women by 71 runs in early April. That defeat came after England Women had won five games in a row to turn their tournament around after losing their opening three matches. Nat Sciver was England Women’s leading run scorer in the competition hitting 436 runs at an average of 72.66. She continued her strong form with 169 not-out in the drawn Test Match last week. With the ball, spinner Sophie Ecclestone finished the Women’s World Cup with 21 wickets, winning the crown of the top wicket taker by a margin of seven wickets.
South Africa Women come into this series in strong form in this format after thrashing Ireland Women 3-0 in a three-match WODI series last month in Dublin. Although the opposition were far inferior, it certainly helped South Africa Women get over the disappointment of being knocked out by England Women in the World Cup Semi-Final back at the end of March. The stars for South Africa Women in that tournament were Laura Wolvaardt, who hit 433 runs at an average of 54.12, and bowlers Shabnim Ismail, who took 14 wickets, and Marizanne Kapp who picked up 12 dismissals.

ENG Women vs SA Women Prediction
After digging in for a draw on the fourth and final day of the Women’s Test at the end of last month, we expect South Africa to be very competitive in this series. England Women lost to South Africa earlier in the World Cup tournament but then bounced back and thrashed them in the semi-finals. We expect home advantage to count in this game and are predicting an England Women win.
