KEN vs NEP 1st ODI Match Prediction & Betting Tips
Kenya will take on Nepal in the first ODI of the three-game series. The match will be played at the Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi starting at 10:00 local time on Friday 2nd September.
Kenya will have been disappointed to lose the final IT20 game of the series and to go down 3-2 but overall they can be pleased with their efforts against a team ranked 12 places above them in the rankings. Former captain, wicket-keeper Irfan Karim, hit the most runs for Kenya during the IT20 series and we expect him to be the player who anchors the innings during this ODI. With the ball, 20 year old left-arm spinner Vraj Patel was remarkably consistent in the IT20s, taking two wickets in each game. He is yet to make his debut in ODIs but it would be a huge shock if he were not to be selected on Friday.
Nepal were always favourites to win the five match IT20 series but the end result will have been far too close for comfort for Sandeep Lamichhane and his side. They took the lead twice in the series before being pegged back but will certainly be pleased that they showed the character to win again in the final match on Tuesday. Spinner Lamichhane was the leading wicket taker in the IT20 series and he will be the key bowler for Nepal on this pitch in the opening ODI. 19 year old right handed batter Rohit Paudel hit scores of 47 on both Monday and Tuesday, he is a strong ODI player with a batting average of 38.47.

Kenya vs Nepal Prediction
The IT20 series showed that Kenya are a cricketing nation on the rise again and that they should never be taken lightly. They have an excellent bowling attack and if they can improve on their batting then they could also cause an upset in this series. Overall, we expect Nepal to be too strong and are backing them to win this ODI.
